FIGHTING FOR YOUR RIGHTS SINCE 1987

Under Investigation?

Falsely Accused? Arrested?

You are NOT alone.

WHAT I DO

Few things can be as stressful, unnerving and downright terrifying as a knock on
the door by Federal or State law enforcement at the break of dawn.  And what
follows is hardly any better — getting cuffed, frisked, finger-printed, jailed and
marched into a courtroom the following morning in an orange jumper after a
harrowing, sleepless night.

Chances are that you’ve visited my website because you or someone close to you has
gone through this nightmare and is presently facing Federal or State court criminal
charges.  And chances are that you’ve already visited other sites offering you an
“aggressive” defense (whatever that is), by a “former” prosecutor.

"I'm not fresh out of law school.   I'm not about flashy videos and empty
promises and phony testimonials and I'm definitely NOT a former prosecutor.

I am a criminal defense lawyer

That's all I've ever done, and that's all I do today"

Rick Hermida

I’ve been a member of the Florida Bar since 1987 and have practiced criminal defense law since that time. I graduated from the University of Miami in 1980 and from Nova

Southeastern University School of Law in 1986.

I’m admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida (1986), the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida
(2003), and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Florida (2005).

I’m presently a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.

I am available Monday through Saturday (and evenings) to personally discuss your case with you.

Stop worrying. I can help. I want to hear your side of the story.
